I have been going to Eastside European Auto service for years. Finding a place where I can trust with my car service and repairs was a true gift . Shane, the owner is one of few trustworthy guys still standing. He is honest , helpful and hands on at his workshop. I went in for regular maintenance on my Volvo, but Shane, the owner, said they were fully booked. I tried another shop instead, which I regretted—they told me my battery needed replacement. I called Shane for a second opinion, and he was happy to test it at no charge.
It turns out my battery was healthy—the other shop had gotten a wrong reading by testing from the front hood instead of the rear. Thanks to Shane, I avoided replacing a perfectly good battery.
Even though I didn’t get the maintenance service this time, Shane’s honesty and reliability really stood out. I would definitely recommend this shop to others.

Needed lube, oil and filter service plus light for low coolant service came up. Met with Shane /Owner and discussed the service and concerns. He promptly gave written estimate for the lube & oil change and indicted he will provide a written estimate of all the required work after he is able to diagnose- after full and thorough inspection. The work estimate was detailed, with parts and labor costs clearly identified and easy to understand- for immediate work needed and which may be deferred. Shane was very professional and knowledgeable which provided confidence and comfort that the job will be done correctly, with genuine parts in a timely manner. The service levels were above our expectations, and we have become loyal clients of Eastside European Auto Service.

I cannot recommend Shane at Eastside European Auto enough! Volvo quoted me nearly $3,000 in repairs, so on a whim I did a quick Google search and found Shane—and I’m so grateful I did. He was incredibly honest from the start. He discovered that a service I had done in 2024 hadn’t been recorded in Carfax, and he let me know that one of the “critical” items Volvo listed didn’t actually need to be done for another year. He saved me hundreds on that service alone and when I called Volvo they acknowledged that they made a mistake.
In the end, I paid less than half of what I would’ve paid at the dealership. At checkout, Shane even walked me through what would need attention a year from now. His transparency and respect stood out—he never talked down to me or treated me like I didn’t know anything, which has not always been my experience elsewhere as a woman bringing my vehicle in for service.
I won’t take my European car anywhere but to Shane going forward. If you want honesty, fair pricing, and exceptional service call Shane.

Had a good first experience here. Transparent and easygoing guy. Found an issue I didn’t know about, explained it thoroughly, and fixed it same-day. And it cost way less than a dealership would have charged!

This place is a gem! The owner is professional, honest and the best in the business! I recently took my car to another shop for an oil change and service, the mechanic there quoted me $5k for some work that needed to be done. The car was driving fine so I was very surprised that it needed work done. I then called Eastside European for another quote, the owner gave me an estimate of $1.8k over the phone for the same work. But when I brought my car to their shop, he took a good look at it and told me the car was perfectly fine and safe to drive! He explained to me how it’s well within the manufacturer’s parameters and even the brakes had another year and don’t need to be changed right now. He even cleaned the debris so I can see the top of the engine cleanly. Even their oil change is 35% cheaper than the other place I went. The owner then sent me away without charging me for anything! Their service was quick, no upsell, and very honest. I’m grateful for Eastside European for helping me dodged huge and unnecessary repairs. I will definitely be back for my next oil change and brake replacement.

I was looking to have a pre purchase inspection (but I already own the car lol) done on my C43 and he informed me he doesn’t do PPI but he could do an inspection.
I informed him where I got the car and he talked me through his experience with those cars and really set my mind at ease without even selling me on anything.
Just off that interaction alone I’d look to have any future work done by Shane and Eastside European!
